5 Natural Treatments for Scabies

What is Scabies?

Scabies rash is caused by tiny mites that bury under your skin called Sarcoptes scabiei. They cause itching and redness primarily in the groin or perineum, underarms, under breast area and back of your knees and elbows. Scabies will not go away without treatment, it will only get worse the longer you wait. It can infest your whole body if left untreated. It is a mite that uses your skin as a breeding ground and their eggs can hatch a few days later. It is highly contagious, avoid direct contact with anyone until you are fully treated.

Make a large mixture of this when you start to have symptoms of scabies and keep it on hand to apply generously throughout affected areas or from the neck down if it has progressed to a certain extent.

Tea Tree

Neem oil

Aloe Vera

Cayenne Pepper

Once you’re in treatment for scabies, make sure to change and wash linens and clothing in hot water. Vacuum carpets, rugs or fabric furniture that can’t be washed. Repeat as needed, you don’t want the eggs they lag to hatch. Continue the topical treatment at least twice daily and if you don’t see any changes or symptoms getting better contact your health care provider.
